Usability test on the VR web browser of Mozilla
Pieter Koenis - August 24, 2019
Last week we got the chance to perform a usability test on the VR browser of Mozilla: Firefox Reality. I this blog post I wrote a brief resume of the usability test.
At Collab -the great co-working space I work at in Amsterdam-, there are people with a lot of different expertises working on their projects. During the Friyay afternoon drinks Manuel Martin told me about his project at Mozilla. As part of the Mozilla Mixed Reality team Manuel develops Firefox Reality, a VR web browser for stand-alone virtual and augmented reality headsets like Oculus, Snapdragon VR and VIVE.
Of course I was eager to give the it a try to experience the VR web browser-experience myself. We discussed the UX of it and the decisions they made in their development. At that moment the mutual interest grew to start a Collab-collaboration: performing a usability test on the VR web browser of Mozilla.
